-About Us-

The Workshop.

Studio 7 has been repairing instruments since 1975. Starting out in a small workshop in the North of England, they’ve gradually made their way down the country to Bristol, where they’ve been for over 20 years, and eventually to their location in St Nicholas Market in Bristol, where they’ve been since 2017. In fact, they’re now one of the only workshops in the UK that people can actually visit and walk past, watching the repairers as they work. Over the years, they’ve seen a number of talented repairers walk through their doors from Devon, France, Cornwall, Yorkshire and ports in between! The workshop has seen many different forms in its lifetime and is constantly growing to be the best that it can be. They have formed partnerships with surrounding schools as well as youth music services to promote music amongst the younger generation and to encourage more young people to learn to play instruments – potentially even creating the next generation of instrument repairers. Keep reading below to find out a little more about the repairers at Studio 7.
