“I have had several saxophones and two clarinets serviced or repaired here in recent years. Everyone at Studio 7 is very friendly, courteous and professional. For the skill they demonstrate and the time they are happy to put into each project, I find their bills extremely reasonable. Their Covid-19 precautions, particularly important to an oldie like me, are impeccable.”

— R M

“Was anxious about having my sax repaired as I know that a lot of repair shops take advantage of their customers. I needn’t have worried in this case; the price was fair and actually came below the estimate I was given. The work has clearly been done with all the skill I’d hope for. Will be back next time I’m in need.”

-FAQs-

What instruments do you repair?

We are specialists in woodwind and brass instrument repair, so we repair anything from piccolos to tubas. We also have connections with other repairers all over the country, so if it’s something we don’t repair, we can find you someone up to standard who can.

How much do your services cost?

We believe that every instrument is unique. Therefore, no two jobs are the same. We always give a free evaluation of your instrument before any work is done. This way, we can give you an approximate quote for how much the work is likely to cost. Whilst completing the work, we always try to keep the cost as low as possible for you, but sometimes some surprises can crop up. If this happens and it’s likely to push the cost above the estimate we gave you, we’ll always contact you for permission before any extra work is carried out. We strive to keep our customers as informed as possible throughout the entire process.

What precautions are you taking against COVID-19?

Keeping everyone as safe as possible is our top priority. All of our staff are taking regular lateral flow tests and self-isolating if there’s a chance they may have come into contact with the virus. Once the work has been completed, we sanitise the instrument thoroughly before returning it to you.

Do you sell instruments?

Yes we do! We always try to keep a range of instruments in stock from beginner to professional level. We can advise on what would be the best match for you and you can test play the instruments to make sure it’s the right fit. If you can’t find what you’re looking for in our stocks, we’ll also be more than happy to track down instruments elsewhere for you. Ensuring you walk away with the right instrument is more important to us than making a sale. Any instrument you buy from us will come with a full, up-to-date service, so you can rest assured it’ll be in tip-top condition and have the best possible playability.
